CASIX BBO-3B I OPO is the most affordable and the most efficienct OPO in the market -- up to 65% efficiency. Its simple design also lends to its reliability.

1 CASIX BBO-3B has been tested and proven to work well with most existing ns pulsed Nd:YAG lasers that have a Gaussion output coupling mirror. These systems include all the GCR models from Spectra-Physics, PowerLite series from Continuum and many others, even non TEM00 mode pump sources.

2 Lasting threshold depends on the model of the BBO-3B I. CASIX offers three models for BBO-3B I. Model HE is the High Efficiency model whose lasing threhsold is below 20 MW/cm2. Model S is the Standard model whose lasing threhsold is below 30 MW/cm2,r –¾’©11, and has a smaller beam divergence. Model R is the Ring cavity model, whose lasing threshold is also below 30 MW/cm2, and has the highest damage threshold.

3 Beam diameter depends on input pump beam size. The value given in the table are measured right after the output coupler of the OPO cavity.

Other Broadband OPOs, OPO Doublers & Accessories

With other high quality NLO crystals, CASIX also offers the BBO-2B and KTP-2B which are pumped at 532 nm. They could extend the spectrum out to 4 mm. CASIX OPO Doublers will cover the spectrum from 210 nm to 420 nm, and with our special designs it could reach a doubling efficiency of 45% -- the highest efficiency in the market.

Upgradability

BBO-3B I could be upgraded conveniently in two ways -- model HE and model S could be upgraded to BBO-3B II; model R could be upgraded to Dye Laser Seeded or Diode Laser Seeded OPOs.

By using a type II BBO crystal instead of a type I BBO crystal, the BBO-3B II gives a consistently narrow bandwidth over the same tuning range as the BBO-3B I while maintaining the simple design of the BBO-3B I and high efficiency. The efficiency for doubling the narrow band-width output of this OPO is as high as 45%.

1 Bandwidth depends on pump intensity, beam size, divergence and pump bandwidth. For single frequency pump sources the maximum bandwidth ranges from sub-cm-1 to below 2 cm-1, e.g. from 1500nm to 2200nm BBO-3B II gives <1 cm-1 resolution.

OPOs have extended the laser radiation from visible to the Infra-Red, and have opened a new area for spectroscopists, and the demand to accurately calibrate laser wavelength/bandwidth in the IR is high.

Based on photo-acoustic signal, photo-acoustic cells provide a simple and reliable way to calibrate laser wavelength/bandwidth in the IR. CASIX is pleased to announce the Photo-acoustic cell from CASIX.

This CASIX photo-acoustic cell comes with a gas volume of 12ml, equipped with stainless valve for the control of gas flow and standard 1/4” Tube connectors. The two windows are made of UV grade fused silica and Sapphire respectively. This allow the users to calibrate wavelengths from 200 nm to 5 mm, without having to change the optics. A micro-speakerphone which is most sensitive to sound at the photo-acoustic frequency is used to give maximum signal to noise ratio. The cell body is composed of a nickel-coated aluminum, allow you to use a variety of gases with this cell. Measurements can be performed from 2 atmospheric pressures to a few milli-torr. Pre-amplified signal output is in a standard BNC connector, could be directly connect to the Oscilloscope.

Based on the patented ring cavity used in BBO-3D, our diode laser seeded OPO allows one to seed the ring cavity without active control of the cavity length, thus significantly improving the stability of the system. In our standard model, we offer you a complete system which includes the tunable diode laser and the OPO cavity. With available diodes in the market right now, this OPO covers 650nm to 2200nm when pumped by the second harmonics from a seeded Nd:YAG source.

By adding an etalon inside BBO-3B II OPO device, the BBO-3B II Et gives an easy approach to get high resolution out of an OPO system. The insertion of the etalon model is very straight forward and the whole spectral range of the BBO-3B II OPO could be covered by 5 sets of etalons. Two resolution options are offered.
