Optical crystals & glass, such as Quartz, YVO4, Calcite, a-BBO, LiNbO3, Undoped YAG, Sapphire, CaF2, MgF2, BK7, etc. are widely used in IR optics and UV optics. CASIX manufactures high transparency and low loss optical windows, prisms, lenses, achromatic lenses and parallel planes by these optical materials.

CASIX has strong capability in fabricating optical components with various optical materials. The most important material properties to consider for an optical element are transmission versus wavelength, index of refraction, thermal characteristics, mechanical and chemical characteristics and cost. We also provide AR-coating and HR-coating for various optical components.

To select the right materials seems overwhelming important. CASIX provides free sevices to select the right optical components for your application.

The materials that CASIX has ever used include:

General optical glass: Schott glass, Ohara glass
Special glass: Fused Silica, Dynasil fused silica, color glass, float glass, Zerodur...
Optical crystal: Sapphire, CaF2, BaF2, MgF2, MgO...
                                Quartz, Silicon, Ge, ZnSe, ZnS...
                                Calcite, YVO4, LiNbO3, a-BBO, YAG...
