BBO crystal is an excellent electro-optic crystal for high power applications for the wavelength range from 200 nm to 2,500 nm. It has electro-optic coefficients g₁₁ = 2.7 pm/V and g₂₂, g₃₁ < 0.1 g₁₁ (see Page 11 for more information about BBO). It launchs a super Q-Switch for a cw diode pumped Nd:YAG laser with average power > 50 W.
